2018: The ADF Celebrates Scott
Many thanks to everyone who came out and helped make our celebration for Scott such a success. It was a lovely, emotional, meaningful day and we are especially grateful to Curtis McMurtry, Graham Wilkinson, and Billy Warren for performing, as well as our lovely hosts Austin Eastciders. Much love to everyone who helped us toast Scott, open a conversation about mental health, and support the incomparable work being done at the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians.
Many thanks are in order to our wonderful silent auction donors, including ABGB, Adalbert’s, Alamo Drafthouse, Antone’s, Austin Eastciders, Austin Rock Gym, Blue Owl Brewing, Capital Cruises, Clive, GoodPops, Kung Fu Saloon, The Mill in Cibolo, Opal Divine’s, Painting with a Twist, Rowing Doc, Waterloo Records, and more!
If you have memories from the afternoon, our shows with Scott, or any other ADF event, please share; we’d be delighted to hear and share how these amazing, generous artists and the ADF have been a part of your musical adventure.
2015: Scott Hutchison
with Special Guest, Curtis McMurtry
We were delighted to have Frightened Rabbit’s Scott return to Mohawk for another solo night, thrilling all by beginning the evening with The Midnight Organ Fight album in its entirety. Local favorite Curtis McMurtry opened with an amazing set. We were also very pleased that the show supported 1400 Miles, a nonprofit preparing for The Big Ride – a 1400-mile, two-week bicycle ride from Austin to Denver to raise funds and awareness in the fight against prostate cancer, as well as giving prostate cancer screening blood tests to 1400 uninsured men along the route.
Even though it was colder in Austin than Edinburgh on this December evening, Scott Hutchison – of the splendid Scottish band Frightened Rabbit – gave guests a magical evening. Local favorite Graham Wilkinson opened the show.
2012: The ADF Presents
The Eastern Sea’s First Christmas
On December 8, 2012, we were thrilled to present The Eastern Sea’s First Christmas, a fantastic holiday record by one of our favorite local bands. With special guest Graham Wilkinson, the night was terrific fun with family, friends, and holiday cheer. The evening’s proceeds benefited Sustainable Food Center.
Check out photo booth pictures from the night here! Thanks again to Chelsey Marley for documenting the fun.
